Bedfordshire Pension Fund looks after the Local Government Pension Scheme (LGPS) benefits of eligible employees in Bedfordshire.  To be eligible for membership of the scheme, employees must work for one of the fund's participating employers and have a contract that entitles them to membership of the scheme.  Please note that teachers are not eligible for the LGPS and have their own Teachers' Pensions scheme. 

Some employers take part in the scheme by right (known as scheduled bodies) and some are admitted to the scheme following application for membership (known as admitted bodies).
