Welcome to the Deferred Members area

If you used to pay into the Local Government Pension Scheme but have now stopped (either because you left Local Government employment or you opted out of paying into the LGPS) and you have left your benefits with Bedfordshire Pension Fund then you will have what is known as a ‘deferred benefit’ in the scheme. To have a deferred benefit you must have paid into the scheme for at least two years.

The 2026 deferred annual benefit statements for deferred members will be sent in August 2026.  Please see our FAQs for any questions you have about your statement.
